Each Quarter, the Australian Bureau of Statistics will release CPI (or ‘Consumer Price Index’) statistics on how much each capital city has grown or shrank economically since the last quarter, expressed as a percentage, and is used to examine the cost of living for consumers in that city. Lessees and Lessors use this information to adjust Rent to determine how much should be charged for the quarter. Use this info to work out how much you should be paying!
